One More Attempt or Will You Please Return the Zombies

So I decided in the sense of science that before the end of the project I would give second life another go.  I did briefly chat with some one, yay!!!! However they did not have much advice to offer.  I did no realize this at first but some how the viewer opened me in a land i have nver been to that was an adult land, not as bad as the previous a little more tasteful but still and obvious sexual over tone to the whole thing.  Once i figured this out i decided the best course of action would be to open the the destinations folder and head directly for one of the new people locations and try again.

The destinations folder would not load, after repeated attempts and building frustration, and cursing ( I would have rather been in the invincible zombie land, i just want a Twinkie) I decided the best course of action would be the one thing i have mastered in this game and fly away.  Ugh so i fly over while watching the map and see a small area with what appeared to be people, i land and find myself into room with a she-male goat doing indescribable things, (Zombies...please bring back the unholy undying undead.)

Ok flew out of there, tried destinations again, nothing... HMMM used world map and this is when i discovered that everything around me appeared to be "adult."  I have learned my lesson, use larger map when attempting to fly around virtual worlds to find a place to be...(Still no zombies)

While flying with the map on it was astonishing the adult themed places there, i just wanted a non adult beach cities or seminary anything other than the previously mention goat (cracked out undead zombies that want die)

I am not sure I have had the best secondlife experience, but I completely understand why some people do.  I, ill try more if interested in this.

Second Life Observations or Why Can I Kill the Zombies

Overall I feel like this is a game based very much on being social and less around set goals.  I think for me this is a little too much like the already intolerable real world to me (I cannot even kill zombies, I mean i really fucking wanted to kill the zombies they wear every where, no right click boot to the head ability i guess.)

I found it very difficult to interact with the other secondlifians, and felt very much the enterprise viewing a culture from the outside.  I did attempt to "chat" with a few people, with no response at one point and then at another point i ran around the entire room yelling for attention.  I also tried repeatedly jumping from platforms and falling to my theoretical death to see if any one noticed. I may just be using the chat button incorrectly, ( It feels as though its self explanatory ) but no one seems to respond.  

In response to comments made on the blackboard site people think I am shy around people or that I find it difficult to interact with others, I am actually not shy at all. I just do not want too, I post and interact on Blackboard due to class room requirements and I attempted to interact with other avatars to truly immerse myself in a new enviroment. 

For me the digital version of the real world is pretty similar, except I can fly!!! (Bu not kill zombies) Maybe there is much more to the game if you are interested in spending money and designing your personal area, but once again I do not really want to own a real world home, let alone a digital one.  (I have camera equipment to buy) I can however understand Very much why people would find it easier in the anonymous world.  You can create the person or cartoon or whatever you see yourself as.  You can do what you want and fly...But not kill Zombies apparently... I truly understand why some one would want that, even digital online sex, it makes sense.  I suppose its just not for me, (the not killing the zombies really got to me.)

At tis point I have decided to choose to go to some destinations.  Going to the "adult" area was possibly more than I was ready to handle.  I guess i should have known but apparently the "Keyhole Club" is some sort of strange cyber voyeur place that people engage in adult activities.  Not being quite prepared for this, I quickly found a new place to go, to each their own I guess but just not my thing.

So next stop Grimlys Blood bath and beyond, at least no strange cube people having sex this time.  I end up in a room with a bunch of people dancing but no talking and I even tried to talk this time, so i went outside, where i find a boat load of different zombies and vampire bats.  No actions are available when you click on them.  When I saw them, I thought it would be fun to take the heads off a few.  However other than looking kinda cool I was unable to interact with them. 

I spent more time outside here running from seemingly unkillable zombies following an arrow that kept leading me to a dead in alley...So off to a new land...

I journeyed back to one of the new citizens area to attempt to communicate with the inhabitants of this strange world, with no luck.  Perhaps if i make my character look like Spock and tell them i am on a discovery mission it will help...

Last night i was on here for all of 13 seconds before i turned my self into this dude.  After another 15 minutes  of trying to go back to my old out fit i gave up and quite.  Any Hoo time to try again....

Yeah i flew in a hot air balloon... i have gotten that far, if you stand up though you plummet to the ground... I am not sure why i need a hot air balloon when i can fly.

I somehow found my way to an elven adventure land, however it was too dark of a world and no one was there so i left...Found my way to a Rio beach, then decided this was not going very far and returned to the human world for a Sierra Nevada Porter

Darkness into life

So this is me at the start of this project,  this is "darkness into life" yeah I know incredibly goth huh.  I am really not sure what i am supposed to do here other than obsess over the way my guy looks.  Reminds me of table top RPG's when i would do countless drawings of what my characters appearance was.

So I do not understand what I am supposed to do here, do i have tasks to complete, things to shoot, monsters to conquer or dungeons to explore.  Is this a simulation of life where you wander around aimlessly talking to no one, if it is this place needs a bar...

I did learn how to fly that was cool, i flew into some place that told me i could not go in there with out a credit card on file so that was the end of that, then i went to a new citizens place and sat down on a a stool...
